From FEELING to ART
My Real North grew out of a simple feeling: that we often sense more than we need to explain.
A direction. A recognition. A moment when something simply lands and feels true.
That is also where the creating begins. In whatever sparks curiosity, joy or resonance and wants to take shape. Sometimes it becomes a few words. Sometimes an image where something familiar suddenly opens into a larger space.
That is how the art comes to be. A piece can go out into everyday life on a shirt, or hang on the wall as an art print and live with you at home.
And the form needs to feel as natural as the art itself. That is why a new form is added only when it measures up.
DUVEROTH
ART & ALCHEMY
Annette Duveroth is the creator of My Real North and the hand behind every motif: illustrations, text motifs and photographs. She lives and works on Söderåsen in Skåne, Sweden.
Design has followed Annette all her life: in architecture and interiors, in typography, composition and layout, and in the clothes she has sewn and designed since childhood. What has always caught her is how energy moves through every form.
Every piece begins in something Annette has met herself: a feeling, a thought, a moment that wanted to take shape. She develops the image from her own sketches in combination with digital tools, AI among them, and refines it until it carries what it should. She always sets the words herself, and the portals are her own photographs.
A piece is listed only when it is energetically whole. The story behind each piece is in The Stories.
